You’re probably wondering why I’m talking about myself, right? Seems a bit narcissistic… I know!
Since I am quite the altruist, I’ll go ahead and introduce myself for all our sakes. **winks
As you can already tell, I am not very funny but I have been told that I’m quite helpful and effective. This stems from my passion and desire to at the very least mimic greatness.
Being dismissed in a job interview for ‘being too young’ can have confounding effects on any young lady starting in any field but this only awoke a reposed passion for programming in me. I embarked on a personal journey to build on the HTML and CSS that I had been introduced to earlier in my life. Armed with a degree in Human Resource Management, an unwavering passion and a profound feeling of inadequacy, I started my programming journey with PhP packages like Joomla and Wordpress to adopting other languages like Python, all in a manner of self-instruction.
Perhaps my real awakening started when I picked interest in Artificial Intelligence, a journey that drove me to join the programming community. It did not only inflame my passion for programming but also accorded me the honour of meeting the most, genuine, honest, inspiring and committed people; a disposition I hold myself. I have learned more in one year than I did in four years; a testament to the power of knowledge sharing, commitment and community. I didn’t even recognize my UI prowess until I shared my work with the community.
My real passion lies in data, how it is produced, stored and how it can be leveraged to produce great products. It also lies in the feeling of utter joy and fulfillment that you get from being a part of a great product. It is the underlying secret to my seemingly unwavering and unquenchable thirst for knowledge in this field.
